Senior UX Designer

Time To Pet, a DaySmart company, is focused on building business management software for pet sitters and dog walkers. Our SaaS product is designed to help pet sitters and dog walkers start, grow and better manage their businesses. Our ideal candidate will be based in Austin, Texas to work from our office several days per week to foster close collaboration with the Time To Pet team.

Position:

We're looking for a Senior UX Designer who is driven by the opportunity to influence the direction of our products, make the lives of pet care providers easier and affect the success of their businesses. In this role, you will be integral in shaping the future of our offerings, crafting features that not only meet the practical needs of our users but also enhance their daily interactions with pets.

This role is perfect for a strategic and hands-on designer who thrives in cross-functional collaboration, embraces data-driven design, and enjoys tackling complex UX challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and launch of new product features, from ideation through to market release, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management and Engineering teams to define product visions, align on strategic goals, and implement impactful design solutions.
  • Develop wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to explore design ideas, test functionality, and refine user interfaces.
  • Drive the full product design lifecycle with a particular focus on introducing innovative products to the market that captivate and delight our users.
  • Conduct comprehensive user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design concepts.
  • Utilize strong visual design skills to create data-driven designs that enhance and promote the Time to Pet brand and style.
  • Promote a culture of excellence, creativity, and continual learning.
  • Ability to communicate design rational effectively across teams and functions
  • Be a key player in projects that require building products from scratch (0-1), displaying a genuine enthusiasm and passion for creating new solutions that resonate in the marketplace.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional visual design skills with meticulous attention to detail and a user-focused design approach.
  • Experience delivering measurable results in highly ambiguous environments/ problem spaces.
  • Resourcefulness in gathering user data and experience in analyzing user behavior and trends.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing the entire product design lifecycle and successfully bringing new products to market.
  • Strong proficiency in Figma and other industry-standard design tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, comfortable with ambiguity, and adept at quick, iterative design processes.
  • Outstanding communication and team collaboration skills, capable of working effectively in a dynamic team setting.
  • Bonus: Experience working in the pet care industry (dog walking, pet sitting, boarding, or grooming)

Salary

The salary for this role is $100,000 - $130,000 per year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, internal equity, etc.

How You Will Work

This position is based in Austin, Texas. The expectation is be to work from our office several days per week to foster close collaboration with the rest of the Time To Pet team. Our other office locations:-

  • Ann Arbor, MI
  • Scottsdale, AZ
  • Wayne, PA
