Sales Development Representative (US Slick)

Department: Sales
Location:

At Slick, a DaySmart company, we've built a smart booking platform and digital business partner for salons and barbers—transforming how industry professionals work and reimagining the client experience.

Today, 65% of salons still operate on pen and paper. Only 10% of bookings happen online. Compare that to how you reserve a taxi, hotel, or restaurant. The beauty industry has been left behind by technology—and that's our mission to change.

Backed by L'Oréal and launching in the US market, this is a ground-floor opportunity to lead that transformation.

As our Sales Development Representative, you'll be the first line of offense in our sales machine. You'll source new business opportunities, master cold outreach, book qualified demos, and help convert self-signup customers into paying accounts. Your efforts directly enable our Account Executives to close more deals. Beyond driving pipeline, you'll be our ears on the ground—capturing critical feedback from prospects about product gaps, competitive threats, and market opportunities. You'll combine sales hustle with product thinking to drive both revenue and product improvements.

Salary Range:

  • This role offers a $45,000 annual base salary, plus $30,000 in target commission, for total on-target earnings (OTE) of $75,000. Commission is uncapped, providing additional earning potential for exceeding performance goals.
  • This is a commission-based role with significant upside for top performers. Successfully demonstrating quota attainment opens doors to career growth.

Responsibilities

  • Source and create qualified pipeline daily through targeted prospecting, research, and outreach
  • Conduct cold calling and personalized email/LinkedIn outreach to book discovery calls and product demos
  • Qualify leads using discovery frameworks (budget, authority, need, timeline) to ensure AE time is spent on the best opportunities
  • Book, schedule, and prepare qualified product demonstrations for Account Executives
  • Nurture and convert free trial users and self-signup customers by understanding their pain points and driving them toward conversations with the sales team
  • Identify and communicate product and competitive feedback collected during prospecting conversations
  • Build and maintain relationships with warm leads who aren't ready to buy immediately through strategic follow-up
  • Track all activity, conversations, and pipeline progression in Salesforce with accuracy and detail
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to refine messaging, positioning, and strategies based on market feedback
  • Hit or exceed weekly, monthly, and quarterly pipeline and activity targets

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience in a sales capacity to include generating leads, qualifying prospects, and cold calling.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High energy, competitive mindset with a genuine hunger to win and drive results
  • Comfort with cold calling and proactive outreach—you don't fear rejection
  • Ability to quickly adapt to feedback, new processes, and a fast-moving product environment
  • Strong organizational skills and discipline in activity tracking and follow-through
  • Passion for sales and excited about solving real problems for small and mid-market beauty businesses.
  • Prior experience with CRM software and sales prospecting tools preferred.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and benefits including medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, and more!
  • 401k plan with company match on your contributions.
  • Open PTO and a generous paid holiday schedule.
  • Supportive work environment with the flexibility to work where/how you want – in-office, remote, or hybrid.
  • Opportunities to ensure you are always learning and growing.
